Links and Settings Reference

This is the complete user-side reference for link configuration.
  • short code (slug)
  • title and description
  • campaign assignment
  • destination and fallback behavior
  • domain selection (system or verified custom domain)

Redirect behavior modes

Typical behavior choices:
  • automatic redirect flow
  • always redirect flow
  • never/controlled redirect behavior
  • rule-only redirect behavior

Security and lifecycle controls

  • password protection (minimum security length enforced)
  • expiration date/time
  • expired destination handling
  • click limits
  • archive/unarchive state
When click limit or expiry is hit, visitors should follow configured expired handling behavior.

Tracking controls

  • conversion tracking toggle
  • tracking mode (pixel-style or server-style attribution)
  • impression tracking control
  • fingerprint-required mode where applicable
Tracking should be enabled before launching paid traffic so attribution is not fragmented.
  • deep-link enablement
  • iOS target
  • Android target
  • fallback URL
  • in-app browser breakout behavior
Deep-link validation should ensure at least one valid mobile/fallback destination exists when enabled.

Cost and attribution overrides

Links can override campaign defaults for:
  • cost model
  • cost override amount
  • cost currency
Use these only when a specific link should behave differently from campaign economics.

Organization controls

  • folder assignment
  • multi-tag assignment
  • UTM template alignment
  • external ID mapping for CRM/tooling
  • internal notes/comments

Bulk operations

Link operations at scale typically include:
  • CSV import for large link batches
  • export for audits/migrations
  • bulk archive/delete workflows
  • bulk transfer between organizational contexts where permitted
Always validate required columns and sample a subset before importing large batches.

Metadata and share presentation

  • OG title/description/image/video
  • public stats sharing toggle
  • optional cloaking/proxy behavior where configured
  • social meta tags (Open Graph) for external preview behavior
  • metatags hygiene checks before high-volume sharing

A/B or variant testing

When variant testing is enabled:
  • multiple variants are defined
  • each variant gets weighted distribution
  • use controlled percentages and monitor outcomes in analytics

Domain behavior

Links can operate on:
  • workspace custom domains
  • system redirect domains
Domain choice can affect branding, trust, and regional deliverability. Operational note:
  • links with active QR dependencies should be reviewed before domain migration to avoid broken printed assets.

Operational checklist

Before publishing a high-volume link:
  1. verify destination and fallback behavior
  2. verify rules do not conflict
  3. verify tracking mode and conversion expectations
  4. verify link-level cost overrides are intentional
  5. verify share metadata and public visibility settings
