Set Up Custom Domains and DNS

Use this guide when attaching a branded domain for production links.

Create or select domain in Workspace Settings

Open Workspace Settings → Domains and choose Add Domain.

Configure DNS records at your provider

Add required records exactly as shown in Linquid. Wait for DNS propagation.

Verify domain status

Return to Linquid and run verification until status is active.

Set primary / not-found behavior

Configure primary domain and 404/not-found fallback behavior for invalid paths.

Create test links on the new domain

Create one short link and test redirect behavior from desktop and mobile.
Keep root/apex and subdomain routing decisions intentional. Use one primary path for link traffic to reduce analytics fragmentation.

Validation checklist

  • Confirm the change appears in the correct workspace context.
  • Confirm expected UI behavior on desktop and mobile.
  • Confirm analytics/events reflect the action.
  • Confirm role/permission boundaries are respected.
